YEARBOOK ONLY SESSIONS INFO

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q.  When and how do I pay?

A.  Session fees are required at the time of the session.  (There is no session fee for the yearbook headshot for Wylie High School, Royse  City High School, or Community High School students).  Full payment for orders is due at the time of placing the order.  Major credit cards accepted.

Q.  Once I place an order, when will I receive my images?

A.  Orders will take approximately 3-4 weeks to be fulfilled, depending upon the season.  If you are a high school senior, do not wait until May to order wallets for your announcements and expect to get them right away.  Plan ahead!  REMEMBER:  "A LACK OF PLANNING ON YOUR PART DOES NOT CONSTITUTE AND EMERGENCY ON MY PART".

Q.  Can I get my order sooner than the 3-4 week delivery time?

A.  Yes.  We offer two different levels of rush charges which will get your order to you in either 7 business days or 3-4 businesss days; depending on which level you choose.

.

Q.  How long does a session last?

A.  Sessions take between 30-60 minutes.  The senior yearbook only session will only take about 10-15 minutes.

Q.  What happens after my senior YEARBOOK HEADSHOT session?

A.  The yearbook images will be available for instant viewing.  You are welcome to stay and choose your yearbook image that day.  We will also upload these images to our website for your family to view and purchase.  These images can be password protected and will remain online until after commencement.

Q.  What happens after my portrait session?

A.  We will upload these images to our website for your family to view and purchase.  These images can be password protected.

Q.  Why are school and team sport images not posted online and why is prepayment required?

A.  These type of events have to be turned into the lab for processing all at one time in order for us to offer the lower, event type pricing.  Posting online drags out the process by delaying orders for those who order early, as well as creating additional work on our staff.  The lower price does not accommodate the increased work load.  Of course, if you would like to pay a higher price, we will expedite your order.

Arrival Time

YEARBOOK SESSION-Please arrive early as a courtesy to your classmates and to us.  If you are late and the next appointment arrives, you will have to wait to be worked in.

STUDIO SESSION-Please arrive early to allow time for us to look at your clothing, props, backgrounds and discuss any ideas you may have.  Also, please be wearing your first outfit when you arrive.  If you are late, please be aware that we may have to cut your session short in order to accommodate other appointments that are scheduled after you.

Parents

Parents are welcome to be in the camera room during the session.  However, if we sense tension or nervousness because you are there, we may ask you to wait in the waiting room.

Clothing

Bring outfits that best reflect your personality:  from dressy to casual, traditional to funky.  Try to match specific outfits with specific props you might wish to bring.

Generally, solid colors photograph better than wild patterns BUT please wear what you feel comfortable in.  If you're a wild pattern kind of person, then by all means wear it.  Senior portraits should express who you are.

Generally, darker colors tend to have a more slimming effect.

If you're self-conscious about your arms, don't wear sleeveless or spaghetti strap tops.  These will only exaggerate those features.

Props

Please bring props that show what you enjoy doing at this time in your life.  Examples are letter jackets, hats, musical instruments, sports equipment or uniforms, hobbies, cars, small pets, stuffed animals, etc.  If it expresses you then bring it.  Call if you have any questions.

Grooming

Hair:  Your senior portrait session is NOT the time to be experimenting with new hair styles (or colors).  If you do get it cut, try and do it at least a week before the session so you can get used to the way you want to style it.  A misconception is that hair doesn't matter because you will be wearing a cap for the cap & gown pose.  This is not true!  The tux/drape pose is the one that will be put in the yearbook so your hair does matter.

Make-up:  Ladies, wear makeup that is natural for you.  If you must change your makeup during your session, try to wear the lightest amount for the early part of the session and then add as the session goes.  But remember, the more time you spend putting on make-up, the less time we will have to photograph.

Shave:  Guys, a fresh shave looks the best!  If you have a mustache or beard, please have it trimmed.

Fun

We want you to have fun during your session at B&E Photography.  Remember, the session is about you!  So just relax and have fun!
