What is your payment policy?

ANSWER:

1. Session (or sitting) fee is due at the time of the session.
2. Full payment is due at the time of placing the order. Visa/MC/Discover/AMEX accepted.

QUESTION:

What is your policy on returned checks?

ANSWER:

Returned checks are handled by an outside check collecting service, Cashflow Solutions, Inc. Under agreement of this check collecting service, checks are presented ONLY ONCE by our bank. If the check is returned after this first presentation, our bank transfers the check to Cashflow Solutions, Inc. for recovery. You will need to contact Cashflow Solutions, Inc. to make payment. After they collect and process your payment, we only receive payments from them once a week. The returned check charge is $30.00 for each check. QUESTION:

What is your policy on senior headshot and cap/gown retakes?

ANSWER:

For senior headshots and cap/gown retakes, there is a $10.00 (plus tax) retake fee.

QUESTION:

Why do I not get an answer when I call the studio?

ANSWER:

You may have called during non-business hours or, you called when we were helping another customer. If we are helping someone else, we will not stop helping them just to answer the phone. Please leave a message and we will call you back at our first opportunity. Our hours may be viewed on the Contact Us section of this site.

QUESTION:

Why did my call not get returned?

ANSWER:

1. You did not leave a call back number (this happens a lot).
2. Your message was not legible.
3. You called during non-business hours (see the Contact Us section for our hours).
4. We called you back but your voice mail was either full or did not pick up.
5. We left a message with whoever answered the phone and they did not give you the message.

QUESTION:

What is your privacy policy?

ANSWER:

1. We do not give out any personal information to anyone at anytime.
2. We do not sell any data that is given to us.
3. We do not give out passwords over the phone.
4. Our sports and school order forms do not contain a credit card section. This is a safety procedure in case your child were to lose the form.
5. We do not keep any of your credit card information on file. If we take your info over the phone for any order, we shred the data once we run the card.

ORDERING

QUESTION:

How do your packages work for Seniors and Family & Children portraiture?

ANSWER:

1. Each package contains a certain number of "sheets" or "pages".
2. Each sheet/page can be an entirely different pose.
3. You can not mix different poses on one sheet/page.

These are the different "Sheet" or "Page" options that are available. Any ONE of these equals ONE Sheet or Page. Mix any of these size options to create the package you want.

ANSWER:

QUESTION:

When is payment due for my order?

ANSWER:

The full payment is due at the time of placing the order.

QUESTION:

How long does it take to receive my order?

ANSWER:

Allow 2-4 weeks. This is due to the volume of work we receive as well as the amount of time it takes to retouch an image.

QUESTION:

Can I get my order sooner than 3-4 weeks?

ANSWER:

Yes. We offer two different levels of "Rush" fees that will get your images to you in either 7 business days or 3-4 business days.

QUESTION:

What images are "retouched"?

ANSWER:

Anything from a "portrait" session that you want us to print will be touched up. School and sports prints may require an additional fee.

QUESTION:

Do you print my images in your studio?

ANSWER:

No. All printing is done off-site by a professional photo lab for quality and longevity. The bottom line is they can do it better and cheaper than we can because that is what they specialize in.

Do you retouch images?

ANSWER:

Yes. All images from our portrait sessions include cropping, retouching, and color correcting. For school and sports, it is available for an additional fee. See the samples below:

SENIOR YEARBOOK SESSIONS

QUESTION:

What does the senior yearbook session consist of?

ANSWER:

We will do a formal (boys in tux top/girls in drape) and a cap & gown. See the samples below:

The senior yearbook session consists of 8 basic images. Background color is based upon school.

QUESTION:

Is there a session/sitting fee for the senior yearbook session?

ANSWER:

No. However; if you want a retake, there is a $10.00 (plus tax) retake fee.

QUESTION:

Why do you charge a retake fee?

ANSWER:

When we first started this, we found that students just showed up completely unprepared and would eventually end up re-doing it. This was taking up valuable appointment times for other people, not to mention our time, so we started charging a retake fee to make them take it serious and come prepared.

QUESTION:

Do I need to purchase any special clothing for the senior yearbook headshot?

ANSWER:

No. We have all of the items you will need for this.

QUESTION:

Do I need to bring my class ring?

ANSWER:

Yes. It will not show in the formal picture but it will definitely show in the cap & gown picture.

QUESTION:

How long will the headshot session take?

ANSWER:

Approximately 10-15 minutes.

QUESTION:

When do I need to have this done?

ANSWER:

We start the senior yearbook headshots in the summer before your senior year. We usually set aside blocks of time designated for a particular school. Once school starts, a deadline will be set and there will only be selected days in which to get this done.

QUESTION:

How will I know when my school's time is?

ANSWER:

We will start sending out letters at the end of June or first of July. The letter will contain date(s) for your school. If your school has mass e-mail capabilities, we may opt to have the school send out the information in place of a mailed letter. Once school starts, the school will also be making announcements. We will also post this information on our website.

QUESTION:

Why does this have to be done so early?

ANSWER:

All of the yearbook printing companies put deadlines on the schools to turn in a specified number of pages for their book by certain dates. In order to meet those dates, the school needs to have an exact count of seniors who have been photographed so they will know how many pages to alot for them. In addition, the senior headshots are touched up for the yearbook. This takes a considerable amount of time so it needs to be done early so we can help the school make their deadline.

QUESTION:

I am scheduled to have my braces removed but not before my scheduled session date. What should I do?

ANSWER:

Call us. If you can get them off before the school's deadline, we will be happy to reschedule for you.

QUESTION:

I woke up with a big zit on my face on the scheduled day of my pictures. Should I reschedule?

ANSWER:

No. Images for the yearbook will be touched up (as well as any images you choose to buy and have us print).

PORTRAIT SESSIONS

QUESTION:

What kind of portrait sessions do you offer?

ANSWER:

1. Family & Children Sessions.
2. High School Senior Yearbook Headshots (selected schools only).
3. High School Senior Personal Sessions.
4. Business Headshots.

QUESTION:

Where do you take portrait sessions?

ANSWER:

We have a studio located in Wylie; or, we can go to a location of your choice. You will be responsible for paying any admission/parking fees for photographer if the location charges fees.

QUESTION:

What is the difference between a senior yearbook headshot and a senior personal session?

ANSWER:

A yearbook headshot is done for our contract schools to provide an image for the yearbook. It consists of a formal and a cap & gown. A personal session is a time for the senior to do a session that consists of more than just the yearbook headshot. They can bring any type of clothing as well as any props they may want.

QUESTION:

How long does a session last?

ANSWER:

1. Senior Headshot and Business Headshots: approximately 15 minutes.
2. Personal senior and family & children sessions: 30 minutes to 1 & 1/2 hours.

QUESTION:

What happens after my portrait session?

ANSWER:

You will be able to view your images a few minutes after the session. We will also upload the images to our website so you can view them from home.

QUESTION:

Can I place an order online?

ANSWER:

You can order some items online but not a portrait package. Portrait packages can be ordered either in person or over the phone.

HELPFUL TIPS

• Please arrive early. If you are late, we may have to cut your session short if we have other sessions after yours.

• Generally, solid colors photograph better than wild patterns BUT please wear what you feel comfortable in. If you're a wild pattern kind of person, then by all means wear it. Senior portraits should express who you are.

• Darker colors usually tend to be more slimming.

• If you are self-conscious about the size of your arms, don't wear sleeveless or spaghetti strap tops.

• Personal props are always good to bring. Examples can be letter jackets, hats, musical instruments, sports equipment, pets, etc.

• Your portrait session is not the time to experiment with hair style or color changes. If you want to make changes to your hair, make sure you do it early enough to allow for changes to be made back if you do not like the way it looks.

• Ladies, wear makeup that is natural for you. If you must change your makeup during your session, always start with the lightest amount first, then you can add as you go.

• Guys, a fresh shave always looks best.

• The more time you spend in the dressing room, the less time we will have for your session.
